Brief// CD Cover Letting

Design the back of a CD with hand drawn text.

Details

I was approached by one of the members of the Hyde Park based music group 'ZEITGEIST' about illustrating the back of their latest CD release. They the back of their CD to be hand written and look 'hand done with a brush pen'. We settled on a deadline for the next day, as they wanted to get the CD design sent off and printed as soon as possible in time for their next big load of gigs. Because of the deadline being the next morning, I produced the piece as time effectively as possible - doing this, I made slight spelling mistakes on one of the members names. Being 'aleks' and not 'alek'. I also completed this commission for free. The client also requested my name was put on the cover as well.

Outcome

I hand wrote the text needed for the back of the CD cover, line by line and then scanned the image into photoshop using a very high quality. After that I adjusted the balance of the scan, I then re-positioned the phrases on a better format for a CD than an A4. After that with not much time to spare, I then quickly send the PDF off to the client.  The client was very happy with the end result (after I changed the spelling mistakes) and I was too.
