PPP brief Pitch Perfect - Thumbs Up studios with Wing

The following is a fictional studio, structured for a brief where developing animation students step into the shoes of what it really takes to support their own studios. The following is prep work for a coming role played presentation both me and my work partner for this project, Wing Chiu will present to our group. 

THUMBS UP studios produces mobile/web games and virtual comics with 2D traditional animation methods. A two artist studio located in England, targeting the modern handheld device trend with app games and interactive material; producing hand drawn animation, with a crafty textile vibe. The studio also aims at marketing illustrations, such as character designs and storyboard development for themselves and external studios. 

The studios target market aims towards international children to young people educational or simple entertaining animated features or interactive materials; such as short cartoons for television broadcasts and online streams. The studio aims to compete along side smaller branches of studios such as Disney, Dreamsworks and such. 

Roles within the studio are as follows;

Wing Chiu will focus on Studio organisation, Scheduling and Budges inside the studio; as well as producing material such as animation and illustration. Molly Lester will focus on external representation such as admin (including emails, phones) and will host as a representative for the studio. 

The structure of the studio works between the two animators/creatives and the both of them balance the bills also. Financial costs (including pre-production, prep, animation, art production, post-production and fees/tax) and rent for the building itself including relevant bills; roughly costing the studio to run itself an average of £2500. 

Promotion to help develop business would involve a heavy online presence, such as twitter, facebook and youtube. As well as paying for external magazine adverts and posters.

Our group has expanded to a 4 part group! Matthew and Greta have joined me and Wing in 'Thumbs Up' studios. I've been put in charge of research into the structure of a studio, as well as designing the floor plan.
