To create an illustration to promote an event.

I was approached by a musician that was organising a new weekly Jazz Event at Hyde Park Book Club and was in need of a poster to promote the event online. I was asked to create an A4 in 'my style' and was given a week to create the poster. All i had to include were the title of the event and the time/place it was happening.
Outcome
The first version I created for this project was rejected, as the donation pot part of the illustration was 'too close to home' as the client said, which is understandable. I edited the pot to a bottle of wine, which did the job of filling that part of the illustration - but not to the same level of satisfaction I personally liked, but won the approval of the client. Once the poster was in use, the reception was all together good.
